Wave plucking space
The Wave plucking space contains a string pinned, or fixed, at both ends. You can pluck the string or strike it with a tuning
fork.
There are two buttons on the wavespace's toolbar:
- Plucking hand: Press this to change the cursor to a hand when moved over the string. You can then click and drag the string to pluck it.
- Tuning fork: Press this to change the cursor to a tuning fork when moved over the string. You can then click the string to set it vibrating
and produce various harmonics.
Tips for use:
- Press the Reset button on the wavespace's toolbar to reset the string.
- Note that the wave in the space is determined by a simulation procedure called 'Finite Element Analysis'. Occasionally, if
the wave has a particularly sharp edge, this method can result in artificial noise being introduced to the wave form.
